Posting his fourth shutout of the season, Bert Blyleven extended his personal winning streak to three games by pitching the Rangers to a 1-0 victory over the Angels. Gary Ross, who was the loser, allowed only five hits to six given up by Blyleven. In the second inning, a looper by Jeff Burroughs fell between Dan Briggs and Dave Chalk for a double.
