The first A. L. pitcher to win 15 games this season, Jim Palmer yielded only one hit while pitching the Orioles to a 2-0 victory over the Twins. Mike Cubbage singled in second inning for the Twins' safety. A walk to Ken Singleton and double by Tony Muser produced the Orioles' initial run in the second inning.
