George Brett stole home with two out in the 10th inning to bring the Royals a 4-3 victory over the Indians. Brett singled with one away, stole second as John Mayberry struck out and continued to third on a wild throw by catcher Rick Cerone.

When Dave LaRoche went into a full windup, pitching to Dave Nelson with a 1-1 count, Brett caught the Indians' reliever by surprise and took off for the plate to become the Royals' sixth runner to steal home this season. This was another three-hit game for Brett. [The Sporting News]
