Battered by the Pirates, 12-1, the Giants probably were glad to see rain stop the game after 6½ innings. Jim Rooker held the Giants to four hits and joined in the Pirates' attack with a two-run triple. Richie Zisk batted in four runs with a single, double and infield out.
