The Expos were shut out on seven hits by Burt Hooton and absorbed their 10th straight defeat, losing to the Dodgers, 6-0. Steve Yeager, Hooton's receiver, committed three errors, one less than the modern major league record for a catcher, but the Expos were unable to capitalize on them.

The Dodgers collected only five hits. Davey Lopes walked in the first inning, stole second, moved to third on an infield out and scored on a sacrifice fly by Bill Russell.
