Jerry Morales went 4-for-4 with a homer and three singles and drove in four runs to pace the Cubs to a 9-4 victory over the Braves. Joe Wallis joined in the attack with a homer and single, accounting for two RBIs. Morales hit his homer with Jose Cardenal on base in the fifth inning, and batted in Cardenal and Wallis with a single in the sixth. Vic Correll hit a homer for the Braves. [The Sporting News]
