The Cardinals tapped relievers Will McEnaney and Manny Sarmiento for eight hits and six runs in the last four innings to trim the Reds, 7-1. Lou Brock and Ted Simmons each had two hits and drove in two runs to support John Denny, who limited the Reds to six hits over the last eight rounds.
