. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Twins scored in six of their eight times at bat and rolled over the White Sox, 11-1. The White Sox counted their lone run in the first inning on singles by Ralph Garr and Jim Spencer around a stolen base. After Rod Carew drove in the tying tally with a single in the home half of the first, the Twins began pulling away when Roy Smalley singled, Carew walked and Lyman Bostock doubled for two runs in the third. After that, it was no contest as the Twins kept scoring with a 15-hit attack that included three singles by Roy Smalley, who drove in two runs. [The Sporting News]
