The Giants broke a 2-2 tie with a four-run attack on Phil Niekro in the fourth inning and defeated the Braves, 6-3. The Braves nicked Jim Barr for their pair in the second, but Marty Perez tied the score with a bases-loaded single in the Giants' half of the frame.
