While Jon Matlack pitched his sixth shutout of the season, Leo Foster drove in five runs to lead the Mets' attack in an 11-0 rout of the Cubs. Foster plated a pair in the first with a single, drove home a third run with a single in the fifth and then capped his spree with a two-run homer in the ninth inning. Mike Phillips also homered.
