Lyman Bostock rapped four hits, scoring two runs and driving in one, to lead the Twins to a 3-1 victory over the Rangers in a game stopped by rain in the top half of the eighth inning. Tom Grieve homered for the Rangers in the second. The Twins knotted the count with singles by Bostock and Butch Wynegar around a passed ball in the fourth. The tie-breaking tallies followed in the fifth on a single by Steve Braun, triple by Bostock and single by Larry Hisle. [The Sporting News]
