. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A grand-slam homer by Oscar Gamble capped a five-run outburst in the eighth inning and carried the Yankees to a 6-4 victory over the Brewers. With Dan Thomas hitting his first major league homer, the Brewers held a 2-1 lead before the Yankees exploded.

A single by Mickey Rivers and two-out double by Chris Chambliss produced the first run in the rally. Carlos May and Graig Nettles then walked to load the bases, setting the stage for Gamble's jackpot wallop off Jim Slaton. Von Joshua batted in two runs for the Brewers with a double in the ninth.
