The Pirates broke away with three runs in the sixth inning and defeated the Expos, 6-1, for their 15th victory in the last 17 games. Richie Zisk singled and scored on a triple by Dave Parker to break a 1-1 tie. Richie Hebner followed with a single to drive in Parker. The Pirates iced the decision with two more runs in the seventh on doubles by Zisk and Rennie Stennett around a single by Hebner. [The Sporting News]
