Two-run doubles by Gene Tenace, Claudell Washington and Sal Bando paced the Athletics' attack in a 9-6 victory over the Rangers. The A's scored five of their runs in the sixth inning. Bill North, Bert Campaneris and Don Baylor singled to load the bases and Joe Rudi walked to force in North and break a 1-1 tie.
