. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Bill Robinson and Richie Zisk each hit his 20th homer of the season and Dave Parker added his 11th as the Pirates powered their way to a 7-2 victory to pull within five games of the Phillies in the East Division race. Robinson connected following a single by Parker in the second inning. Zisk's homer, plus a double by Willie Stargell and single by Parker, made it 4-0 in the third.

The Phillies picked up their pair in the fourth when Mike Schmidt walked and Dick Allen homered, but the Pirates counted twice in the eighth on a double by Parker, single by Robinson and double by Tommy Helms before Parker wrapped up the scoring with his circuit clout in the ninth.
