Bill Lee pitched his first complete game since September 9, 1975, and had the backing of four home runs as the Red Sox defeated the Brewers, 10-3. In the second inning, Jack Baker and Bob Montgomery hit for the circuit, Montgomery's homer coming with a man on base. Baker's blow was his first hit in the major leagues.
