Frank Tanana turned in his 23rd complete game of the season and brought his record to 18-10 by pitching the Angels to a 4-1 victory over the Twins, who were stopped on their five-game winning streak. Dave Collins and Ron Jackson hit homers for the Angels. Craig Kusick saved the Twins from being shut out by connecting for the circuit in the ninth inning. [The Sporting News]
