Greg Luzinski, Ollie Brown and Larry Bowa each drove in two runs to help Jim Kaat end a six-game personal losing streak as the Phillies pounded the Cardinals, 9-1. Kaat, who had not posted a victory since August 21, limited the Redbirds to five hits in his six-inning stint. Jerry Martin hit his first homer of the season in the fourth. [The Sporting News]
