. . . where the 1970s live forever!

After Pat Dobson was knocked out in the third inning, the Indians got shutout relief from Jackie Brown, Stan Thomas and Dave LaRoche and defeated the Tigers, 3-2. Rick Manning batted in Frank Duffy with a double and counted himself on a single by Buddy Bell to tie the score at 2-2 in the Indians' half of the third. The deciding run followed in the fourth on a double by George Hendrick and single by Charlie Spikes. [The Sporting News]
