Rick Monday drove in one run with a sacrifice fly and scored another after a fluke double to lead the Cubs to a 3-1 victory over the Expos. Larry Parrish homered for the Expos in the second inning, but a triple by Mick Kelleher and Monday's scoring fly knotted the count in the third. Batting again in the sixth, Monday reached second with a double when Andre Dawson lost his fly ball in the sun.
