A homer by Oscar Gamble and run-scoring singles by Alan Bannister and Richie Zisk carried the White Sox to a 3-2 victory over the Blue Jays. Gamble, who came from the Yankees in Bucky Dent deal, hit his homer in the fourth inning. Bannister, who took over at shortstop with the departure of Dent, drove in a run with a single in the fifth, stole second and scored on Zisk's single. [The Sporting News]
