The Twins scored four runs in the fifth, when Rod Carew delivered a two-run triple, and rolled to a 12-3 triumph over the Mariners. Juan Bernhardt and Ruppert Jones each hit their second homers of the season for the Mariners. Larry Hisle hit his second homer, a two-run blow in the ninth, to cap the Twins' scoring.
