With Sixto Lezcano and Cecil Cooper driving in five runs between them, the Brewers defeated the Yankees, 7-4, for their second victory over Don Gullett in two meetings. Lezcano, who beat Gullett with two homers April 10, stroked a two-run single off the lefthander in the first inning.

Cooper knocked in a pair with a triple in the fifth and Lezcano accounted for his third RBI of the game with a single when the Brewers piled up five runs in the fifth and kayoed Gullett.
