With Sixto Lezcano and Cecil Cooper driving in five runs between them, the Brewers defeated the Yankees, 7-4, for their second victory over Don Gullett in two meetings. Lezcano, who beat Gullett with two homers April 10, stroked a two-run single off the lefthander in the first inning.

Cooper knocked in a pair with a triple in the fifth and Lezcano accounted for his third RBI of the game with a single when the Brewers piled up five runs in the fifth and kayoed Gullett. Jerry Augustine, with help from Bill Castro and Bob McClure, beat the Yankees for the second time. [The Sporting News]
