Run-scoring singles by Joe Nolan and Craig Robinson in the ninth inning carried the Braves to a 6-5 victory over the Dodgers, who were stopped on their seven-game winning streak. Pinch-hitter Boog Powell drove in two runs with a single in the sixth inning for his first N. L. hit to give the Dodgers a 4-3 lead.

In the Braves' ninth, Jerry Royster walked and Willie Montanez singled. Jeff Burroughs grounded into a forceout, but Nolan delivered a pinch-single to tie the score and Robinson ended the game with his winning hit. [The Sporting News]
