After Cey's smash in the third inning, Rick Monday also hit for the circuit to give the Dodgers a 4-0 lead. The Braves rallied to tie the score, but the Dodgers broke the deadlock in the ninth with a run on singles by Davey Lopes, Bill Russell and Reggie Smith before Cey ended the scoring with his sacrifice fly.
