Larry Hisle hit a grand-slam homer and Rich Chiles drove in four runs with three singles as the Twins defeated the Rangers, 12-6. Hisle's slam climaxed a seven-run outburst in the fourth inning and came on top of four singles, including one by Chiles, and two walks. The Rangers went into the slugging act too late with homers by Ken Henderson, Mike Hargrove and Toby Harrah in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
