Two unearned runs -- one resulting from an error by Tim Foli and the other on a passed ball by Mike Sadek -- enabled the Astros to defeat the Giants, 3-1. Foli, playing in his first game with the Giants after being obtained in a deal with the Expos, booted a grounder by Jose Cruz in the second inning and Bob Watson followed with a homer. Julio Gonzalez singled in the fifth, raced to third on Sadek's passed ball and counted the Astros' other run on a sacrifice fly by Art Howe to insure the victory. [The Sporting News]
