A homer by Don Baylor in the 11th inning carried the Angels to a 3-2 victory over the Orioles behind a route-going performance by Frank Tanana. After Ken Singleton broke a 1-1 tie with a circuit clout in the seventh inning, Jim Palmer was within two outs of victory in his duel with Tanana, but Joe Rudi then tied the score with a round-tripper. Dyar Miller took over in relief of Palmer in the 11th and wound up the loser on Baylor's blow. [The Sporting News]
