George Foster's leadoff double triggered a two-run rally in the ninth inning that enabled the Reds to subdue the Cardinals, 3-2. Cesar Geronimo's infield hit moved Foster to third from where he scored the tying run on Mike Lum's pinch-single off Mike Tyson's glove. Geronimo, trying to advance to third, came around to score when the throw from right field skipped off Hector Cruz' glove. [The Sporting News]
