Richie Zisk's eighth homer of the season, coming after a single by Alan Bannister in the fifth inning, provided the deciding blow for the White Sox in an 8-4 victory over the Royals. After Zisk's smash accounted for a 5-4 lead, the White Sox added three insurance runs in the eighth, two scoring on a triple by Chet Lemon. Bannister had four hits and scored three runs.
