Two homers by Bill Stein and one by Carlos Lopez helped the Mariners power their way to a 10-8 victory over the Red Sox. The Mariners scored five runs in the first inning, capping their outburst when Stein came up with two men on base and hit his first homer of the season. Stein added a solo shot in the fourth. Lopez' homer with a man on base in the seventh was the first of his major league career. [The Sporting News]
