A homer by Ron Fairly in the seventh inning lifted the Blue Jays to a 9-8 victory over the Brewers in a game that was delayed for one hour by heavy fog. While visibility was limited, the Brewers scored four runs in the fifth inning on a triple by Charlie Moore, single by Von Joshua, inside-the-park homer by Cecil Cooper, pass to Don Money and triple by Sixto Lezcano.

The umpires then halted action until the fog lifted. The Blue Jays came back to take an 8-6 lead, but the Brewers tied the score in the eighth on RBIs by Sal Bando and Jamie Quirk before Fairly's homer decided the game in the Blue Jays' favor. [The Sporting News]
