Richie Zisk hit his 10th homer of the season, connecting with a man on base in the eighth inning, for the deciding blow as the White Sox defeated the Indians, 5-2, and handed Wayne Garland his fourth straight setback. Larvell Blanks and Buddy Bell belted back-to-back homers for the Indians in the sixth to tie the score at 2-2 before Alan Bannister rapped his third single of the game and scored ahead of Zisk when the ex-National Leaguer put the blast on Garland.
