Terry Humphrey hit his first home run of the season in the second inning and Joe Rudi had a run-scoring double in the eighth, bringing his runs batted in total to 29, high in the American League. The Angels scored what proved to be the deciding run in the fourth when Gil Flores was hit by a Jim Colborn pitch, stole second and tallied on Jerry Remy's single. [The Sporting News]
