After four losses, Wayne Garland was able to post his first victory of the season when the Indians took advantage of three unearned runs and beat the Brewers, 4-3. The Indians scored three times on only one hit in the second inning, two of the tallies being tainted. With the score tied, 3-3, Frank Duffy singled in the eighth, stole second, continued to third on a throwing error by Charlie Moore and scored on a sacrifice fly by Paul Dade. [The Sporting News]
