The Mariners turned Jim Palmer's uncharacteristic wild streak into a four-run second inning and an 8-3 victory over the Orioles. Five walks, singles by Bill Stein and Craig Reynolds along with Larry Milbourne's sacrifice fly sent Palmer to an early shower. Mike Kekich, returning from the disabled list, pitched out of a bases-loaded jam in the sixth, then blanked the Orioles over the last three innings to earn his first save. [The Sporting News]
