Butch Wynegar batted in four runs to set the pace as the Twins defeated the Indians, 10-4, for their fifth straight victory. Wynegar picked up his first RBI with a double in the second inning. Rod Carew homered in the third.

With the score tied, 4-4, the Twins loaded the bases in the fifth on a single by Rob Wilfong and passes to Larry Hisle and Carew. Wynegar then singled on a 3-2 pitch, driving in all three runners. [The Sporting News]
