Batterymates Ray Burris and Steve Swisher each hit his first homer of the season while accounting for three RBIs apiece as the Cubs defeated the Braves, 13-4. Gene Clines also batted in three runs, while Manny Trillo had four hits in five trips.

Burris drove in two runs with a single in the second inning when the Cubs kayoed Don Collins while scoring five times. In the next inning, Swisher hit his homer with Trillo on base and, one out later, Burris also connected for the circuit. [The Sporting News]
