With two out in the ninth inning, the Giants rallied for four runs to defeat the Cardinals, 7-5. Derrel Thomas, Bill Madlock and Jack Clark hit consecutive singles off Al Hrabosky for the first run and Darrell Evans stroked a double for two more.
