Eddie Murray singled home pinch-runner Larry Harlow in the 12th inning to give the Orioles a 4-3 victory over the Yankees. After the Yankees took a 2-0 lead, the Orioles tied the score with a two-run double by Al Bumbry in the seventh.

The Orioles forged ahead in the 11th when Billy Smith singled to score Pat Kelly, but the Yankees pulled even in their half on a walk to Fran Healy, sacrifice by Bucky Dent and single by Willie Randolph. With two out in the 12th, Ken Singleton singled and Harlow, running for him, scored the winning run on singles by Lee May and Murray. [The Sporting News]
