. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A perfect day at bat by Dan Meyer, who collected four hits and drove in three runs, featured the Mariners' 6-2 victory over the Athletics. The Mariners used three pitchers, who held the A's to three singles. Dick Pole gave up only one hit before being removed with two men on base in the sixth inning. Bill Laxton retired one batter and walked one. Enrique Romo then relieved, put down the A's threat and finished the game on a yield of two hits in the last 3 2/3 innings. [The Sporting News]
