Juan Beniquez smashed a homer and triple and Lew Beasley contributed a double and two singles in a 17-hit attack that carried the Rangers to a 7-4 victory over the Blue Jays. Beasley, starting his first game in the outfield since being called up from Tucson (Pacific Coast), singled and drove in the Rangers' initial run in first inning.

The Rangers added a pair in the third on doubles by Beasley and Toby Harrah, along with a single by Bump Wills. Beniquez hit his homer in the fourth and added his triple, driving in another run, in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
