Errors by Bob Bailor and Alan Ashby in the seventh inning helped the Angels score three runs to defeat the Blue Jays, 4-1. Tony Solaita walked to open the stanza. Pinch-runner Orlando Ramirez took third on a single by Joe Rudi and scored when Bailor booted a grounder by Bobby Bonds.

After an intentional pass to Dave Chalk, Rudi scored on a sacrifice fly by Bobby Grich, Bonds taking third on the play. As Chalk stole second, Ashby threw wildly to third in an attempt to catch Bonds, enabling the runner to cross the plate on the error. [The Sporting News]
