A single by Ralph Garr with the bases loaded and two out in the seventh inning drove in two runs against Jim Palmer and gave the White Sox a 4-2 victory over the Orioles. With the score tied, 2-2, Royle Stillman drew a walk from Palmer with one away in the seventh. Chet Lemon doubled, Stillman stopping at third. After an intentional pass to Eric Soderholm, Palmer retired Jim Essian, but Garr then hit his single to beat the Orioles' ace. [The Sporting News]
