Tony Armas batted in two runs with a triple in the second inning and Earl Williams added a pair with a homer in the sixth as the Athletics defeated the Mariners, 6-3. After his triple, Armas continued home on a bad relay to the plate by Dan Meyer. Marty Perez, who went 4-for-4, doubled to drive in the A's last counter in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
