A sacrifice fly by pinch-hitter Dick Allen with the bases loaded in the ninth inning brought the Athletics a 3-2 victory over the Blue Jays. Mitchell Page drew a walk to open the stanza and when Earl Williams bunted, both runners were safe on a late throw to second. Wayne Gross sacrificed.
