Fred Lynn drove in two runs with a pair of singles and also made a spectacular catch in support of Bill Lee, who pitched the Red Sox to a 5-2 victory over the Twins. In the sixth inning, when Dan Ford smashed a drive more than 400 feet to center field, Lynn leaped high and grabbed the ball as it was about to go over the wall for a home run. [The Sporting News]
