Two-run homers by Fred Lynn and Carlton Fisk, plus a pair of solo shots by Jim Rice, powered the Red Sox to a 7-3 victory over the Orioles. Rich Dauer hit his first major league homer for the Orioles in the first inning, but Carl Yastrzemski tied the score in the Red Sox half with the 500th double of his career.
