The Orioles snapped their three-game losing streak by beating the White Sox, 6-1, behind the five-hit hurling of Mike Flanagan, who ended his personal string of four defeats. Doug DeCinces provided the Orioles' big blow, hitting a bases-loaded double in the fifth inning. Two runs scored on DeCinces' hit and another crossed the plate when Oscar Gamble misplayed the ball in left field. [The Sporting News]
