. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Homers by George Foster, Cesar Geronimo and Dan Driessen were among the Reds' 16 hits in a 13-1 walloping of the Expos. Fred Norman, who yielded the mound to Pedro Borbon after six innings, gained his fifth straight victory.

Tony Perez, making his first appearance in Cincinnati since being traded to the Expos, was given a standing ovation by the Reds' crowd of 35,148 on his first time at bat in the second inning. The veteran first baseman went hitless in two official trips, with one walk, before leaving the game. [The Sporting News]
